HOW THE LOCK WORKS

Your discount tier is locked permanently the moment you add your payment method during onboarding. You are not charged until launch day — but your rate is set in stone the second you commit. If you wait and the next tier fills, the price steps up permanently. It does not come back down.

Beyond your annual membership, some bookings may include host-set fees. These are always displayed before you confirm a booking — no surprises at checkout.

Cleaning Fee

OPTIONAL

Set by the host. Flat or per-night amount. Collected via Stripe at booking time. Displayed before you confirm.

Fuel Fee

OPTIONAL

Set by the host for motorized assets (boats, ATVs, RVs). Flat or per-day amount. Displayed before you confirm.

Insurance Fee

OPTIONAL

Set by the host. Optional. Displayed before you confirm. Some hosts require it for high-value assets.

Stripe Processing Fee

OPTIONAL

Standard Stripe processing fees apply to cash bookings and host-set fees. These are absorbed by the host on cash bookings.

Pricing Questions

When am I charged?

You are not charged until launch day. During the waitlist phase, you add your payment method to lock your rate — but no charge is processed until the platform officially launches.

What if I add my payment method and the platform never launches?

You are never charged until launch day. If the platform does not launch, you owe nothing. Your payment method is stored securely via Stripe but not charged.

Does my membership auto-renew?

Yes. Memberships are annual and auto-renew via Stripe. You'll receive a renewal reminder email before your anniversary date. If a payment fails, you have a 5-day grace period to resolve it before your account is suspended.

Can I cancel my membership?

Yes. You can cancel at any time via the Stripe Billing Portal. Your membership remains active until the end of the current billing period. Unused credits are forfeited upon cancellation.

Are prices in USD or CAD?

JoyRidr supports both USD and CAD. The platform auto-detects your currency based on location. USD prices are listed as the primary currency on this page; CAD equivalents are shown in the tier table above.
